This post has been published by me as a part of the Blog-a-Ton 39; the thirty-ninth edition of the online marathon of Bloggers; where we decide and we write. To be part of the next edition, visit and start following Blog-a-Ton. The theme for the month is "Break"

The alarm clock beeped,
snooze after snooze.
From the kitchen she peeped,
on the morning dews.

It was thirty past five,
he pulled himself out of the bed
as she juggled with knife,
and the clothes and the bread.

Breakfast, office files,
lunch box- check,
so the kids got ready
and she sent them with a peck.

Hurried up the stairs,
she was in the nick of time.
Amidst the office affairs,
she planned chicken n lime.

Tired and hungry,
she reached back home.
Exhausted and weary,
she needed time alone.

Her five year-old chap,
came running with a cake.
jumped joyously in her lap,
she got her well-deserved break.
