Her eyes met his
and he just knew.
He didn't say a word,
She never had to!

She completed him
in a million ways.
Yet, felt imperfect
without his praise.

He was a warm embrace
on a starry night.
She, a gentle breeze
when the time was right.

She looked at him
a long deep gaze.
He was lost in her,
and their hearts ablaze

They tried and tried
alas! couldn't change their fates.
Even the skies cried
as they parted the soul-mates.

  1. "A pity that those skies have churned into a storm
We once were too mesmerized to see.
Through the evanescent silence I hear fleeting cries
One from your sorrow and other from my shame..."

So poignantly written and it stays true to the end...

  5. You managed to churn out a story in the form of a poem. Also your poem didn't look like a clumsy mishmash of rhyming words, on the contrary it was a smooth narrative.

    Well done.

All the best for BAT 50 :)

    Do drop by mine
